Tai Chi Qigong For Allergies & Hayfever
Eliminate hayfever and other allergies by building up your immune system with tai chi qigong. Since an allergy is usually due to a weak immune system, a tai chi qigong regimen designed to raise your lowered immune system is ideally suited for eliminating these ailments for good. For immediate temporary relief of hayfever and a weak immune system, you can try Chinese cupping on your belly button and consuming limited quantities of Chinese panax ginseng. If you have an allergic reaction that leads to respiratory or skin problems, an ionizer (also called an ion generator) will also help. This air cleaner not only removes allergens in the air but also generates negatively charged ions that help boost lowered immune systems and promote healing. Drinking distilled water or water purified by reverse osmosis will also help to detoxify the body and flush toxins from the body. Many of my more sensitive students have found drinking water free of inorganic minerals and contaminants to be especially helpful for skin sensitivity and for softening skin and hair. Lastly, practicing qigong will produce long-term benefits for both your allergy and your weak immune system. Just about any kind of qigong will help you in your weakened state: the key is regular daily practice of a minimum twenty minutes — in fact, the more the better. See the Suggested Qigong Program for Beginning Students to guide you through your training. The most basic qigong program to treat your condition should include the following qigong exercises (in progressing order of difficulty): However, the more severe your condition, the more you need to invest in your training, and it would be better for you to follow the entire Suggested Qigong Program for Beginning Students.Intermediate level students can benefit from the Huxi Liao Fa or Three-Breath Qigong Therapy and advanced level students from Daliang Cun Qi Fa ("Amassing Chi") or Stopped Breath Qigong. Just a few sessions of Stopped Breath Qigong can eliminate your allergy altogether. However, this form of qigong has its own inherent risks, so do not practice it unless you are quite familiar with chi circulation and manipulation or if you have a qigong expert to guide you. But you do not need to advance to these levels in order to benefit your weak immune system. Establish your foundation and follow the Program for Beginning Students. If you practice it diligently for two to six months, you will significantly reduce, if not eliminate, your hayfever and other allergies altogether. Just as importantly, you will give your lowered immune system a greatly needed boost.
