Tai Chi Qigong
To Rid Migraine Headaches

You can eliminate migraine headaches and other forms of headaches quickly and effectively with this tai chi qigong program specially designed to address these needs. How? Through a holistic regimen: traditional qigong considers all aspects of health, including diet, herbs, adequate rest and exercise.

One major consideration is diet. Some migraines are triggered by an allergy to commercial meat that have hormones and other chemicals injected or fed to animals.

Keeping to a vegetarian diet or eating organic flesh can often eliminate this problem. For others, there are Chinese herbs in pill, tablet or capsule form that will treat certain types of migraines.

Secondly, drink lots of water purified by distillation or reverse osmosis. This is water that contains no impurities or inorganic minerals. Drinking this water will not only help flush out toxins from your body, but also hydrate and oxygenate both body and brain.

Often headaches are due to dehydration and inadequate oxygen reaching the brain. Hydrate and oxygenate the brain, and headaches often disappear or become less intense.

Caffeine, found in coffee and aspirin, dilate blood vessels, allowing more oxygenated blood flow to the brain. For some people, just a small amount of caffeine will be enough to reduce or eliminate their headaches. However, do not resort to this remedy if you suffer from hypertension or other cardiovascular disease.

A negative ion generator can also help reduce the intensity of headaches. Also called an ionizer, this air cleaner produces negatively charged ions that promote health and healing, besides removing allergens and other pollutants in the air. Breathing in negative ion-filled air will clear your head and significantly alleviate any pain.

Also, get yourself a set of quality full-spectrum lighting. Set up two four-foot fluorescent tubes to shine down at a 45 degree angle to your eyes. Do not place any screen that will filter the light, as your eyes must be directly exposed to the full light spectrum to benefit from it.

For the same reason, do not wear eye lenses when exposing yourself to this light or when practicing tai chi qigong. Try to expose yourself to at least two hours of this light.

Tai chi qigong is especially effective for headaches and migraines because it incorporates yogic breathing with physical exercise and quiet meditation. To oxygenate the brain and ameliorate your condition, try to incorporate diaphragmatic breathing into your lifestyle as part of your regular breathing.

Begin your tai chi qigong with a minimum of ten to twenty minutes of alternate nose breathing in the morning when you wake up. Also, as part of your foundation to a full tai chi chuan regimen, start with Zhan Zhuang Jingong or Qigong Standing Meditation Postures for one or two months.

Probably other qigong exercise will also work for regular headaches, but tai chi chuan emphasizes relaxation more than any other qigong programs do, thereby promoting more oxygenation in the brain. Just as importantly, it provides a more thorough mental and physical workout.

Lastly, you also need to include some quiet time for jingong or still meditation to give your brain a rest, and to balance the energies in both left and right brain hemisphere. Start with twenty minutes a day and work your way up to half an hour to one hour.

For faster, easier results, you can also try listening to Holosync during meditation.

Four to eight months of regular practice should eliminate most, if not all of your migraine headaches and other forms of headaches.
