Taiji Qigong Shibashi or the Eighteen Postures helps circulate chi energy in limbs and torso, and forms the foundation for all qigong exercises.
The Eighteen Postures is very easy to learn and an ideal starting set of qigong/chi kung exercises for the beginner. It is ideal as a set of warm-up exercises to tai chi chuan and other more complicated qigong/chi kung exercises because it gets the vital chi energy moving quickly.
The Eighteen Postures is designed specifically to promote vital chi circulation to the limbs and trunk. It is excellent for the less limber student and the elderly, as it is not as strenuous as most other exercises, yet it engages the whole body in a thorough but gentle workout.
Practice the Eighteen Postures of Tai Chi Qigong/Chi Kung as a warm-up to more complex qigong/chi kung exercises or on its own.
