Affordable Quality Tai Chi Qigong
Nowadays, tai chi qigong (a.k.a chi kung) courses are priced outrageously, costing hundreds of dollars for a one-day course. But not mine — I offer ecourses that are both affordable and easy to learn, with all the benefits found in any quality qigong training program. With two teaching degrees and almost 20 years of experience in teaching and curriculum design, I am very exacting when detailing instructions for any program. Accordingly, I have designed the following ecourses to include descriptions and explanations of each set of movements in precise detail with accompanying pictures of footwork, directions of movement, body poses, and hand and body movements. Each ecourse is comprised of detailed explanations on the basic principles in operation, as well as detailed descriptions of the techniques and movements. Where needed, I have also included detailed diagrams and photographs. My greatest concern in teaching tai chi/qigong is the current trend that has turned qigong training into a new age money-making industry, such that commercial institutions are taking advantage of people suffering from debilitating illness and charging outrageous prices for qigong courses that should be available to everyone at affordable rates. In my opinion, you should not have to pay hundreds of dollars for simple qigong courses. When I was a child, my family could barely afford to pay for basic amenities. However, I was fortunate my master followed the traditional way, and I never had to pay a cent for the invaluable training I received. So this is my way of giving back — by offering quality ecourses at low reasonable rates that everyone can afford. These tai chi qigong courses are grouped according to three levels of complexity and ease of learning: beginning, intermediate and advanced. Tai chi movements are relatively more complex than other qigong training programs, which is why I have chosen to place them in the intermediate and advanced levels. However, beginning students can still take such ecourses at the intermediate level with little prior knowledge, although some foundation would be advisable. On the other hand, ecourses at the advanced level require a solid foundation and some self-control/skill, as these particular qigong courses embody higher risk of injury. Before making your selection, please read over the descriptions of each ecourse carefully, as all of these qigong courses contain prerequisites. If you don't have the prerequisite skills necessary for the selected ecourses, you can click on the highlighted selections to learn them. Most prerequisites are lessons that I offer free of charge on this website for everyone to benefit. Also, if you don't know anything about intrinsic chi energy, you should read up on it first and find out how to use your yi to direct it. Beginners can follow a program I outlined based on my own experience when I first began training with my master. For individual health, self-defence, spiritual or other specific needs, you can follow programs that I specifically designed to address those needs. To get the most out of each ecourse, you should review Making the Most Out of Your Qigong Practice prior to registering for any qigong courses. My other recommendation is that you take your time in learning these tai chi qigong exercises. I would like to emphasize quality over quantity. Master the prerequisites first before registering for these ecourses. And take your time in learning and practicing each new step. Finally, you should be aware that any effective tai chi qigong training will have its own inherent risks and dangers. Please read the Disclaimer before attempting any exercises provided on this website. Please note that while these ecourses were deliberately priced at low reasonable rates (in Canadian dollars) to make them available to people who could not afford them otherwise, I still hope to make up for the lost income by generating more traffic (i.e. clientele such as you). You can help to keep these prices low by helping me generate more traffic. How? Simply by telling your friends and family about this site or making a donation. And thirdly, by paying for the courses you take. If there are more than one of you who intend to take the same course, by all means, you're welcome — but each person should pay for his/her own registration. So please, do not share the information with someone who has not paid into the program. By remaining honest, you reflect and live up to wu de, the true integrity of the tai chi qigong and martial arts spirit. Also, your honesty and integrity will encourage me to create more quality tai chi qigong programs with similar low reasonable rates that everyone can afford. I welcome any comments and suggestions you might have to improve these ecourses and any other contents you find on this website, as well as questions or concerns you might have on any of the lessons mentioned on this site. Lastly, I'd like to thank you for your interest. From one fellow qigong student to another, I wish you joy in the qigong training. May you reap all the benefits that these tai chi qigong courses have to offer.
